I’m noticing a lot of people feeling overwhelmed at the moment.

Here’s an opportunity to check in with yourself – see how well you’re able to say NO to the demands resented on a daily basis.

30 second self audit…

- Are the people most important to you getting the time and attention they need?

- Do you feel like there’s not enough time for YOU – rest, eat well, exercise etc?

- Do you feel like you’re always doing things for other people?

- Do the projects you’d rather be doing take a backseat over the projects you feel
obliged to do?

- Are you in a state of disorganisation and chaos? Piles of paper, messy home,
unanswered phone calls and emails etc

- Do you lie awake at night thinking about your to do list?

- Are you loosing perspective on what you are up to in life?

- And when you stop (if you stop) and allow yourself to connect with what is important
(maybe its your loved ones, your health) is there a pang of guilt?

Saying no can be hard, especially when we feel a sense of obligation and
expectation. Sometimes it’s the most empowered thing you can do. It’s
about being responsible to yourself, those closest to you and to the priorities
in your life.

Place your oxygen mask on yourself first before helping
others!

Say yes to the things that move you closer to your goals and no to the things that
you feel obliged to do or are doing out of habit for no worthwhile
benefit.

Until next time, Stacey

What would your life be like if you were living your life by design…no really …think about it! Take some time over this…

And then when you feel really connected to this (your inspiration), from that space imagine what our world would be like if we were all living our lives by design…doing what we are here to do…living our inspiration…on purpose, in our hearts, in flow.

This is my vision for humanity. This is evolution…this is how we change the world.

Its starts with You, right here, right now…Look in the mirror…what can you change?

“If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make the change!” Michael Jackson, song Man in The Mirror.

From an evolutionary perspective, human kind must adapt to this changing world. I believe our strategy for survival is to be ‘different’, to break away from the ways of the past…wake up! Do things differently…better. To not do things just because others do, or our parents did! It’s about being self designing to not only adapt to the changes now but to deliberately shape our future.

So how to you step up, be different, act on your inspiration amongst the day to day realities of life?

By constantly developing and realigning yourself in all Life Design Components, those being…

We are now operating in an era where collaboration, cooperation and accessing the collective wisdom are the way.

Here is an except taken from Matt Church of Thought Leader’s Globe Newsletter that has helped me check where I am operating from when working with others.

Take No More!

I have been looking at the idea of letting people help you. I feel that there are 3 levels of personal evolution when it comes to collaboration, delegation and relying on others.

Take

Push

Share

Take is about being dependent and taking from others, it has a needy vibe and is obviously not ideal. In take you draw from others unconsciously.

Push is about being independent and winning from others, it has a competitive vibe and is about getting by pushing your agenda. In push you win they lose.

Share is about being interdependent and working with others, it has a liberating vibe. It is about effortlessness, flowing and is the key to creating sustainability. In share you flow.

For me, the move through independence and into an interdependent state is the only way to keep growth a priority if you are also trying to minimise friction and stress. If you have growing pains or an increased effort as you expand in life or business it’s because you are still trying to do it all by yourself.

Let go and grow.

Hi everyone,

I have two little gems to share with you today, both require asking yourself the hard questions…

1. Introspective Questions – To increase effectiveness on a daily basis

2. Effectiveness Self Audit – To shine a light on opportunities for growth

Introspective Questions

Extra blankets on the bed this week? Winter inspires introspection and on that note, here are some introspective questions to incorporate into your daily or weekly planning time designed to increase your effectiveness. Choose 3-5 that are powerful for you and/or create your own.

How can I best accelerate progress with this project?

Which of these tasks is the most important?

Have I scheduled enough time for each of my priorities?

What’s really important here?

Where am I going off track?

Does this align with/support what I am trying to achieve?

What’s not important?

Who needs my support?

What high pay off money making activity will I do now?

What am I avoiding?

What is my attention stuck on?

What are two possible solutions to that problem?

Have I scheduled enough ‘me’ time (rest, fitness, meditation etc) to stay healthy and relaxed?

Effectiveness Snapshot

Personal Effectiveness is about getting the most out of life personally and professionally. Its holistic and thus requires an integrated approach. Run through the following aspects of ‘life’ and give your yourself a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to identify opportunities for growth and integration.

Self Audit / Snap Shot: AM I ENTIRELY HAPPY WITH HOW I’M OPERATING IN THESE AREAS TO GET THE MOST OF OUR LIFE?

Clear Goals and a PLAN – You know what you want to achieve and have a plan to do so that is reviewed regularly

Time with Family – You spend quality time with the ones you love – guilt free

Health – You are vital and energetic, your body takes care of you because you take care of it

Fitness – You are strong, pain free and create regular opportunities to stay fit

Mental Relaxation – You manage your stress and actively cultivate ‘peace of mind’

Organisation – You have systems in place to stay on top of things

Time Management/Planning – You plan your time regularly and effectively to ensure priorities are meet and tasks achieved

Personal Boundaries – You have enough time for You! and maintain space from the things that drain your energy

Hobbies/Relaxing Activities – You do things ‘just for the fun of it’

Spirituality – You have a sense of connection to your inner self/truth/guidance/inner knowing…that opens your heart and keeps the inspiration and wisdom flowing in your life

Life by Design Personal Effectiveness Coaching is a personalised approach to helping you make adjustments to get the most out of life.

Work With Me and I’ll share my superpowers with you…As long as you promise to use them for good.

Six Ways to Minimise Mental Chatter & Organise Your Thinking

How does the constant internal chatter in your head reflect physical environment and life?

What you experience as your life is a direct result of your thoughts. If you have chaotic and cluttered thoughts you will have a chaotic and cluttered environment and life. This is why personal productivity and organisation must be addressed from the outside in AND the inside out… This is The Zen of Organisation.

6 ways to minimise mental chatter and organised your thinking

1 – GOALS

Regularly clarify your goals. Ensure they are meaningful, achievable and broken down into milestones. Have them visible as a reminder so your daily decisions are aligned with achieving those goals.

2 – PRIORITORISE & PLAN

Re-prioritorise and plan daily aligned with your goals, to ensure that your time, energy and resources are channeled proportionately to those priorities.

3 – CAPTURING AND MANAGING THOUGHTS AND ‘TO DO’S’

Review how you manage your lists and notes so it is streamlined. Create a central point to consolidate lists and notes into daily, for example in Microsoft Outlook or a paper diary. Consider using a voice recorder to capture ideas when you are driving and keep a note pad and pen by the bed so you can download the mental chatter before you go to sleep.

4 – MANAGE PROJECTS

Write a list off all the projects you have on the go or would like to begin, and priorities them into categories such as ‘current’ and ‘parked’. Visit the list regularly and decide how you can move each project forward or eliminate the project all together as your priorities change.

5 – PEACE OF MIND

With honest self reflection make a list of any transgressions, miscommunications or areas you feel uncomfortable about and go back and clean them up.

6 – MAINTAIN BALANCE MIND, BODY AND SOUL

Maintain a discipline that quietens the mind, strengthens the body and increases energy such as yoga, exercise or meditation.

7 – MAINTAIN A STRATEGIC PERSPECTIVE

Schedule in regular time to step back from the day to day to get a strategic perspective on your progress. This can be as simple as taking yourself out for a coffee with your journal or a road trip to the beach on the weekend.
